The Beal BACK UP LINE 5.5mm is a composite aramid/nylon accessory cord (certified as 5mm) designed for use as a backup line for single-rope rappels, crevasse rescue, and intervention/hauling systems. Its aramid content provides minimal stretch and a high strength-to-weight ratio at just 21 g/m.
